# The Network Mechanics

The HaLoWave network splits physical infrastructure roles into distinct, symbiotic hardware components. This creates an organic, decentralized physical infrastructure network (DePIN) capable of scaling globally to support the next 100+ million IoT devices.

### 1. The HaLoWave Miner (The Coverage Generator)

The HaLoWave Miner acts as the robust backbone of our decentralized sub-1 GHz infrastructure.

* **Operation Profile:** Functions as a highly specialized Access Point (AP).
* **Network Role:** It broadcasts high-efficiency, long-range Wi-Fi HaLow coverage across its geographical zone. It authenticates network coverage, relays encrypted data packets from native IoT clients, and communicates directly with the Solana blockchain ledger to verify proof-of-coverage performance.

### 2. The HaLoWave Wi-Fi Router (The Legacy Converter)

To ensure immediate real-world utility, the ecosystem features the HaLoWave Wi-Fi Router. This device acts as a bridge between the specialized sub-1 GHz HaLow spectrum and everyday legacy devices.

* **Operation Profile:** Functions as a Station (STA) on the sub-1 GHz layer while simultaneously hosting a standard 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi hotspot and physical LAN ports.
* **Network Role:** It captures the extended range sub-1 GHz coverage generated by neighboring HaLoWave Miners from kilometers away and converts it into localized internet access. This allows standard laptops, tablets, and legacy IP cameras to connect to the HaLoWave decentralized backhaul seamlessly.

### 3. Native IoT Devices (The Edge Layer)

These represent the next generation of industrial, agricultural, and urban smart hardware built with embedded sub-1 GHz modules. Unlike legacy devices, they require no translation router. They connect directly to the closest HaLoWave Miner with native enterprise-grade WPA3 security protocols, enabling the projected influx of HaLow devices to seamlessly onboard onto our decentralized global network.

### 🎬 Real-World Proof: The 2.5+ km Connection Test

We don't just talk about long-range capabilities; we prove them in the field. Watch our live demonstration where the HaLoWave Wi-Fi Router successfully captures the HaLoWave Miner's signal from **over 2.5 kilometers away**, creating a fully functional, high-speed network link.
