To make this process seamless, HaLoWave allows you to automatically split your earnings with your hosts directly on-chain. Here is a step-by-step guide on how the host revenue split works and how you can set it up in just a few clicks. ### 🔒 Prerequisite: Lock Your Wallet (Owner Wallet Protection) Before diving into the host settings, the most important step is to lock your wallet. If your wallet is currently marked as "Unlocked," it means it could potentially be changed locally. To secure your device, simply click the "Lock wallet on device" button in the Owner wallet protection section. Once locked, you will see a green confirmation banner stating: "Owner wallet is locked on this device." This is a crucial security measure. It ensures that the installer or host cannot change the master address from the local dashboard of the HaLoWave miner. The device will remain permanently tied to your own Solana wallet address. If you ever need to change it in the future, you can securely do so via email verification directly from the Console.
### Step 1: Add the Host Address Once your wallet is securely locked, scroll down to the host section (labeled as installer/operator) on `console.halowave.io`. Here, simply enter the Solana wallet address of the person who is hosting your miner.
### Step 2: Choose the Reward Split After inputting the wallet address, you can configure the exact percentage of rewards you want your host to receive. The HaLoWave console gives you the flexibility to set different percentages for both your $HLW Rewards and your $USDC B2B Bandwidth Rewards. Just use the sliders to adjust the exact share!
### Step 3: Save and Assign Once you are happy with the percentages you have chosen, simply click the "Assign hosts" button at the bottom of the page. That is all you need to do! The smart contract and the console will handle the rest.
### âž• Advanced Configurations: Adding Multiple Hosts If you have a more complex setup involving multiple people, you will notice an "Add host" button on the dashboard. By clicking this, you can add up to 3 different hosts on the same miner. This is very useful if the installation location is managed by multiple partners who all need a cut of the rewards.
If you ever need to adjust the percentages in the future or remove a host, the interface makes it simple. You can dynamically update the split or clear all hosts entirely with the "Update host split" and "Remove all hosts" buttons.
### 👀 What Your Hosts Will See We believe in absolute transparency. When your host goes to `console.halowave.io` and logs in using the Solana wallet address you entered in Step 1, they get access to their very own Host Station. From their dashboard, they will be able to see the specific miner they are hosting (e.g., elegant-lion-5286), verify their exact percentage share of both $HLW and $USDC, and check the last heartbeat of the device. By clicking "View stats", the host gets a comprehensive look at the miner. They can monitor their rewards, view network statistics, and check various device information. Furthermore, they have access to the remote tool to easily configure settings like the antenna dBi gain directly from the cloud.
